Our Natural Red Dyed Mulch is made from all natural hardwood logs and wood chips. We process this material two times through our tub grinder, then use a no toxic dye to color the natural wood red. Since this mulch is made from natural wood it will break down and become an amendment to the soil just as the other mulches do. This mulch has a medium texture to it, and its color will last about a year.
- The expected life is 8-12 months depending on the location of placement and amount of direct sunlight.

I was pretty disappointed with the red color on the mulch. It was mostly a brown color and I had several people look at the mulch and they all said it looked brown. I went to another nursery this weekend and saw their red mulch and it was bright red. I have laid the mulch and it already has lost its color. This mulch was definitely not red dyed in my opinion.
